The Partnership applied for funding in 2003/4 to launch Huntingdon Business Against Crime(HBAC). In 2005 the name changed to Huntingdonshire Business Against Crime to include businesses in Huntingdon, St Ives and St Neots as well as HBAC Commercial (Huntingdon). The Partnership gives a grant of £2000 each year to support this important organisation. HTP representatives sit on the HBAC monthly Board of Management and quarterly Steering Committee meetings.
HBAC's sole aim is to help businesses reduce the cost of crime, fraud and anti-social behaviour and to make it difficult for thieves to carry on offending. By working in partnership with Cambridgeshire Constabulary, Huntingdonshire Community Safety Partnership and a wider network of members and local organisations, HBAC gives businesses the chance to be proactive in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.
