The Partnership has access to key performance indicators, which give a snapshot of the health of the town. This information is used to form strategy, identify trends and highlight areas that are under-performing. By working with Economic Development at Huntingdonshire District Council information can be requested and surveys undertaken to monitor the health of the town.

Pedestrian Footfall Counts

As much of the Partnership's work is designed to encourage more people to visit the town centre, success is monitored in this area through commissioned annual footfall counts. This provides a beneficial view of the changing trends in pedestrian movement throughout the centre and the areas of highest footfall, which are particularly useful in Huntingdon where there is major redevelopment. Huntingdon Town Partnership members have access to the report.

Customer Perception Surveys

Working with Huntingdonshire District Council Economic Development, these are commissioned on a bi-annual basis and serve as customer satisfaction surveys on areas such as:

  • Range of shop and services
  • Appearance of the town
  • Car parking
  • Ease of access
  • Number of events and attractions
  • Crime and fear of crime

The results of these surveys help to assess whether the Partnership is being effective in the work we deliver and help to identify areas where we need to focus attention. Two hundred face-to-face questionnaires were carried out in each of the four market towns. Huntingdon Town Partnership members have access to the report.
