Huntingdon LIVE magazine
The Partnership produces a bi-monthly full-colour magazine, which includes key projects, current news, business news, what's happening in the town and an events calendar. With a distribution of 9,000, Huntingdon LIVE is delivered to businesses and homes in Huntingdon and the surrounding area and is an excellent way of raising the Partnership's profile and showcasing the range and diversity of Huntingdon's businesses. For Members there is the Members' Profile and Members' Listing plus the opportunity for discounts on advertising space. A more business focused email newsletter is sent to all members on alternate months.
The Media
Maintaining a high profile is vital to ensure the business community and residents are aware of Huntingdon Town Partnership. The Town Partnership Manager writes a monthly column in a local weekly newspaper, which is a great vehicle to raise its awareness to the general public. The Partnership is skilful in generating news stories for the local press and radio and is often called upon to comment on events and developments in the town and to give radio interviews.
Networking
The Partnership holds monthly Members' meetings, which are an opportunity to receive an update on current projects and to hear first-hand about important developments in and around the town. Themed networking sessions are also organised on topical issues such as car parking and new developments in the town. The Town Partnership Manager attends a wide variety of meetings throughout the year as a representative of The Partnership and to support organisations and events that benefit Huntingdon.
Zone Reps for The Partnership
Volunteer Zone Reps are located in 10 areas of the town. These Partnership members communicate and distribute key information to all businesses in their zone and act as ambassadors for the Partnership.
Support the Economic Prosperity of Huntingdon
The Partnership works with a wide range of partners to ensure the prosperity of Huntingdon. Key to this is the link with Huntingdonshire District Council Economic Development who organise regular liaison meetings between the four market town management groups in Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots and Ramsey. The Local Economic Strategy and Annual Action plan forms part of the team approach to improved economic prosperity for Huntingdon.
Support National Organisations
The work of the Partnership is supported by two national organisations who set best practice for town management:
