We are really pleased to welcome Italia in Piazza, the friendly Italian Food Market, to Huntingdon for the first time on Friday 14 May in the Market Square and on Saturday 15 May in the High Street and will run from 9am through to 5pm. 

Italia in Piazza is a traditional Italian Food Market with stalls selling foods which are imported directly from producers in Italy. There will be a wide variety of foods on sale including cheeses and cured meats, the classic Cremona Torrone (nougat), cakes, sweets and biscuits, olive oils, balsamic vinegars and a selection of olives as well as different shapes and sizes of pasta and speciality breads.  So do come along and try out some of the amazing food treats!

Look out for the Safety Awareness Day which takes place on Tuesday 25 May from 11am to 2.30pm outside Sainsbury’s.  This event embraces a partnership approach to safety in Huntingdon and is supported by Huntingdon Town Partnership, Huntingdonshire Business Against Crime and the Huntingdonshire District Council CCTV team, who will be on hand to talk to you about staying safe and have free safety related items to hand out.  The CCTV vehicle will also be on site to demonstrating the fantastic facility that this mobile unit brings.

Finally congratulations to the gymnasts, and their support team, at Huntingdon Gym Club for their recent sporting successes at the European Championships.  As with any local sports group there is a hard working team of volunteers, family members and coaches who create the successful environment.  Huntingdon Gym Club is providing great role models for sporting achievement whilst raising the profile of Huntingdon and it is all taking place on a worldwide stage!  We look forward to supporting their efforts in the run up to the London 2012 Olympics www.huntingdongymclub.org.uk
