Europe in Huntingdon Town Centre for the 10th year

The hugely popular annual Continental Market returns to Huntingdon for an amazing tenth year from Thursday 6th October to Saturday 8th October. The market, which is organised by Huntingdon Town Partnership, has been a major event in the town centre calendar for so many years and this year we are looking forward to another successful event.

The Market will feature the best of Continental produce with over 25 stalls selling goods and produce from France, Spain, Holland, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Continental Market is no ordinary market, so expect to be tempted as you wander past the stalls. Set your senses free to roam through the warm ambiance of the Mediterranean with sun-ripened olives, fragrant, fine coffees, biscuits and breads from Italy and France, reviving memories of that Continental holiday.

There may be handbags from Paris and clothing from Finland, piquant French cheeses and wonderful spicy sausages from Germany. You might also see unique Russian matryoshka dolls and, of course, genuine French crêpes. You'll be amazed at the mouthwatering freshness of Dutch toffee waffles baked in front of your eyes. Indulge your taste for the exotic with wild boar and blueberry sausages, fine pâtés and cooked hams. Grace your kitchen with French cookware and tableware then spoil yourself with bon-bons and German confectionery.

The Mayor of Huntingdon, Councillor Alan Mackender- Lawrence, will officially open the event at 10am in the Market Square on Thursday 6 October.
