Huntingdon Town Centre Partnership was formed in 1998 and became a company limited by guarantee in 2004. In 2007 the name was amended to Huntingdon Town Partnership (HTP or the Partnership) to reflect the greater area of responsibility. It is an organisation made up of representatives from local businesses, District and Town councils, voluntary organisations and key stakeholders in the town who work together to improve Huntingdon.

Operating in partnership with two national organisations, the Association of Town Centre Management (ATCM) and Action for Market Towns (AMT), the Partnership works with its members and partners to address the following areas in Huntingdon:

  • cleanliness and safety
  • transport, parking, signage and accessibility
  • marketing and events
  • stimulate growth by inward investment and development and through work with existing businesses
  • develop distinctive branding for the town and change perceptions
  • celebrate and support heritage and tourism
  • support opportunities for training and employment
  • promote amenities, development and the night-time economy
  • work in partnership to enhance public areas
  • ensure that Huntingdon is welcoming to all
